A veteran of stage, television and film, Alexia has made her mark in her native France as both an actress and poker player. Perhaps best known for her role as Rosine in the 1998 film “Autumn Tale” (Conte d’automne), Alexia continues to make regular appearances on the stage and screen.

After establishing herself in the acting world, Alexia discovered poker in 2005 and became a regular at the famed Aviation Club de France in Paris. She then moved on to the tournament scene, tasting her first significant success in 2008’s EPT Championships Main Event in London, where she finished 22nd to take home $30K.

Alexia had a strong start to 2010 with a 10th-place finish at the EPT Deauville Main Event, good for almost $73K. She followed that up with two cashes at the World Series of Poker, finishing 38th in the $2,500 No Limit Hold ‘em Six-Handed event for $10K, and adding a 22nd-place finish in the $5,000 No Limit Hold ‘em event which netted her $25K.

When asked which other poker players have influenced her, Alexia points to Annette Obrestad and her memorable feat of playing an entire tournament – and winning – without looking at her hole cards. “It opened my mind, and I realized I could always look for new possibilities in my own game,” she says.

Taking that realization to heart, Alexia believes that the most important skill for a poker player to acquire is a “capacity for adaptation” in their game.

On top of her poker and acting careers, Alexia also runs a restaurant/art gallery, La Grande vie, in Angoulême, and splits her time between the town near Bordeaux and her native Paris.

Apart from competing at the felt, treading the boards and managing her restaurant, Alexia tries to find time to indulge in her other passions of contemporary photography, music and literature.
