Claudio Rinaldi was born in Ticino, a region in the south of Switzerland, which is where he currently lives when he’s not travelling for poker games. Claudio has always had a passion for card and strategy games, and developed an interest in poker in 2005. His passion for poker increased while working as a croupier in a local casino, and he began to play on a regular basis. As a beginner, Claudio built his bankroll by playing low-stakes, live ring games. Although he favors Texas Hold ‘em, Claudio also enjoys Pot-Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo and Razz.
Although new to the live tournament scene, Claudio has already secured some impressive cashes. In January of 2008, Claudio placed 5th in the €7,700 EPT German Open No-Limit Hold 'em event at the EPT German Open, walking away with over $280K in prize money. Later that year he also placed 2nd in the €8,500 Grand Final No-Limit Hold 'em event at the Partouche Poker Tour Grand Final in Cannes, winning almost $750K. All told, Claudio has over $1.4 million in career tournament earnings and currently stands at 1st on the Switzerland All Time Money List.
Claudio enjoys the travel and socializing opportunities which poker enables. Outside of poker, he also devotes much of time to his family and friends. You can find Claudio playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
