Cyndy Violette is not your average "poker babe." She comes from the old school of poker and was involved in the game well before it was the fashionable thing to do.

Born in Queens, New York, Cyndy and her family moved to Las Vegas when she was 12 years old. She first developed a love of card games while playing with her uncle at the kitchen table. When she was old enough, Cyndy took a job at a local casino as both a blackjack and poker dealer, further cementing her interest in the game.

In 1984, Cyndy played a Lake Tahoe poker tournament and finished in the money. That experience convinced her it was time to turn pro, and provided the money she needed to kick-start her bankroll. Soon after that, Cyndy won a Seven-Card Stud tournament at the Golden Nugget for $74,000 – the most prize money ever won by a woman at the time.

After a short hiatus, Cyndy returned to action in 1990 and won a tournament at Caesar’s Palace for $62K. In 2004, she fulfilled one of her lifelong dreams by winning a World Series of Poker bracelet. She took down the $2,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo event and more than $135K in prize money. At the 2005 WSOP, Cyndy made three final tables and cashed six times. All told, she has 49 cashes in WSOP events throughout the years and stands at number nine on the Women’s All Time Money List.

Cyndy currently splits most of her time between Las Vegas and Los Angeles, where she regularly takes on some of the world’s toughest ring games. When she’s not at the table, you can find her working on her poker inspired clothing line and motivational items. Look for her playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
