Haseeb Qureshi

High-stakes player and CardRunners instructor Haseeb "INTERNET POKERS" Qureshi started out in poker by playing in home games. He improved his skills online, beginning with microstake tables, working his way up to $500/$1000 games.

Haseeb has a strong mathematical background, but feels most advanced math is not relevant to his game. He says “self-awareness is the most important difference between an amateur poker player and a professional. Being aware of your own flaws, your emotions, and your relation to your goals is what really sets apart players who'll never make it from the ones who have a shot.”

Haseeb is a CardRunners instructor for No-Limit Hold ‘em and Pot- Limit Omaha. He prefers ring games to tournaments because “there's more direct reward for making good plays and outplaying your opponents. The other great thing of course is that you never have to commit to anything, whereas if you want to specialize in tournaments, you have to sit for long hours without much break until you bust out. In a cash game you can leave or play whenever you feel like it.”

When he’s not playing poker, Haseeb enjoys literature, video games and movies. He also plays piano and makes digital music.
