Russia's Nikolay Evdakov has a solid reputation as a professional poker player. Since coming onto the professional poker scene near the end of 2006, he's consistently posted winning results and worked his way into 10th place on Russia's All Time Money List.
Nikolay made his premier tournament appearance in October of 2006, taking 1st place - and over $37K - in the No-Limit Hold 'em event at the Russian Poker Championships in Moscow. Just a short time later in 2007, he followed this with solid performances in both Europe and the US, including impressive showings during the Bellagio Cup III. While there, Nikolay made two 3rd place finishes and one 1st place finish in $1K No-Limit Hold 'em tournaments, earning more than $70K in less than two weeks.
He went on to finish 2007 strong by final tabling the $15K No-Limit Hold 'em Main Event at the Vegas Open. Nikolay was faced with a stacked final table that included Team Full Tilt's Allen Cunningham and Full Tilt Poker pros David Singer and Toto Leonidas. In the end, Nikolay claimed 5th place, taking home more than $65K.
Over the course of the 2008 WSOP, he made his greatest accomplishment to date. Nikolay posted an incredible total of ten in-the-money finishes, claiming the record for Most WSOP Cashes in a Single Year. The fact that this was his first WSOP and he competed in a variety of games makes this even more impressive. By the end of the series, Nikolay had earned over $228K for his efforts.
In 2009, Nikolay continued his successful run with notable tournament successes, including an additional six WSOP cashes. To date, he has amassed over $560K in career tournament earnings.
While he still calls Moscow home, Nikolay is very active on the tournament scene world-wide. If you want to see him in action, look for Nikolay playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
