  • QUESTION FROM RavenLaughs: Is it a good idea for a starting player to sit down at a table in a casino and play for cash stakes, in order to learn the game better?

ANSWER FROM Mark Vos: no, not unless you are really rich. start with friends at home or online

  • QUESTION FROM maggot-108: sorry i was bored.

    ANSWER FROM Mark Vos: :)

ANSWER FROM Mark Vos: of course you miss out on parts of the game when you play online, but because its really quick you learn the fundamentals of playing the game correctly much much faster you need practise live though certainly. so to learn online, then play live

  • QUESTION FROM RavenLaughs: Can the online expereince translate well to actual table games? Do you feel the lack of actual, phyiscal people be a handicap in the long run when it comes to learning?

ANSWER FROM Mark Vos: small stakes first, then slowly move up

ANSWER FROM Mark Vos: if you look at the good online players, they are all good at live too... they miss out on certain things but the reality is they know the game that well that they play well anyway

ANSWER FROM Mark Vos: a lot of the live guys cant play online, because they dont have the fundamentals and they get exploited

  • QUESTION FROM RavenLaughs: How long would you say a person should take to play before they attempt to start a career as a Pro Player?

ANSWER FROM Mark Vos: it depends on their situation, i gave it a shot after 5 months because there was no reason not to i was at university and "losing everything" meant a few thousand, then just back to university and on with life
