Trond Eidsvig

Norwegian player Trond Eidsvig was first introduced to poker by a friend who was hosting a $20 freeze-out tournament and he has been playing both live and online ever since. Trond improved his poker strategy by playing freerolls and then built up his bankroll by playing low-stakes ring games, before moving on to live tournaments.

In 2007, Trond achieved his first notable tournament score with a 3rd place finish in the £1,000 No-Limit Hold ‘em Main Event at the Scottish Poker Championships and walked away with over $28K. He then went on to place 5th in the € 7,700 EPT Barcelona Open for over $340K and 4th in the € 7,700 EPT in Dublin, winning a further $183,937. This was quickly followed with a 1st place finish in the €5,000 No Limit Hold ‘em Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam, taking home nearly $900K in prize money. Trond´s success in 2007 was recognized with two awards: Best Newcomer and Scandinavian “Rookie of the Year.”

Trond’s successes in 2008 include an 8th place in the EPT Polish Open No Limit Hold ‘em event, and he currently holds the record for most cashes in a single EPT season. All told, Trond has won more than $1.5 million in career tournament earnings and stands at 4th place on the Norway All Time Money List. When he’s not at the poker tables, Trond enjoys watching and playing soccer. You can play poker online with Trond at Full Tilt Poker.
